Made for any room
Name signs are our best-loved piece. They're the finishing touch above a cot or bed, on a bedroom door, along the front of a toy box, or as a family name over the fireplace. Each one is cut as a single joined piece, so the letters flow into each other just as they would if you wrote them by hand.
Sizes
Each size is the width of your name, from 10 to 80 cm. We scale the name to that width, so it's never stretched or squashed, and its height follows from the letters.
A very short name such as El would be too tall at full width, so it stops at the height limit for its size and comes out a little narrower. From 40 cm, names are cut 1 cm narrower than the size. The designer shows the exact measurements of any name.

Choose your finish
Wood veneer signs are 4 mm thick: a real wood veneer on an MDF core, so the grain on yours is one of a kind. Unpainted MDF signs are 3 mm thick and ready for you to paint.

Choose your font
Swirly is a flowing, joined-up script with elegant loops. Scribble is looser and more playful, with the bounce of real handwriting.
Personalising
Type the name exactly as you'd like it cut. We make the first letter a capital and the rest lowercase, unless you tell us otherwise. Want to see it first? Ask us on Etsy for a free digital mock-up.
Hanging
Every sign comes with strong 3M double-sided tape, so there's no drilling. Stick it to a smooth, clean, dry surface and press firmly.

Can I see my sign before I order?
Yes. Type any name into our Name Sign Designer to see it in every font, size and wood, with its real measurements. If you'd like us to make a mock-up for you, send us a message on Etsy before you order and we'll send one free of charge.
How much does a name sign cost?
From £9.99 to £104.99, depending on the size and finish, with free standard UK delivery.
Where are your name signs made?
In our studio in Cheshire, England. We draw every design ourselves and cut each sign to order on our laser, from real wood veneer or MDF.
How do capital letters work?
We make the first letter a capital and the rest lowercase, unless you tell us otherwise in the personalisation box. The name is cut exactly as you type it, so please check the spelling.
How thick is the sign?
Signs in oak, maple, cherry or walnut are 4 mm thick: a real wood veneer on an MDF core. Unpainted MDF signs are 3 mm thick.
How do I put it up?
Strong 3M double-sided tape comes with every sign. Stick it to a smooth, clean, dry wall or door and press firmly. You're welcome to use your own fixings instead.
How long will it take to arrive?
We make each sign in 3 to 5 days. Free standard UK delivery then usually takes 2 to 4 working days, and you can upgrade to next-day delivery at checkout.
Can you send it outside the UK?
Most sizes, yes: Etsy shows the delivery cost for your country at checkout. 70 cm and 80 cm signs can only be sent to UK addresses.
