Name Sign Size Guide
Our name signs come in eight sizes, from 10 to 80 cm. Here's how the sizes work, and how to pick the right one for the space you have in mind.

How our sizes work
Our main name sign listing and our Name Sign Designer size names by width. Each size is the width of your name, and we scale the name to that width without stretching or squashing the letters.
- Most names are the full width. Willow or Muhammad on the 30 cm size will be 30 cm across, with the height set by the letters.
- Very short names stop at the height limit. El on the 30 cm size would be taller than 22 cm at full width, so it's held at 22 cm tall and comes out 22.3 cm wide.

From 40 cm, names are cut 1 cm narrower than the size, so 39 cm on the 40 cm size.
Nursery, bedroom door and toy box signs
These listings still give each size as a maximum width and height, such as Max 30cm x 19cm. We scale the name up until it reaches whichever limit comes first, so long names fill the width and very short names reach the full height.

Which size for which space?
These are good starting points rather than rules. A bigger sign makes more of a statement; a smaller one feels more delicate.

Measure before you order
- Mark the width on the wall with masking tape, then step back and look at it from the doorway.
- Over furniture, choose a sign narrower than the piece below it, with space at each end. The table above gives a good starting size.
- On a door or a box, choose a size a few centimetres narrower than the flat area, so the name has space at each end.
